Haptic Cinema™ Engine

Visualize how Tetrium extracts low-frequency audio metadata and translates it into synchronized physical vibrations.

No Controller
Intensity: 0%

How to use this lab

Select a scene profile above (Heartbeat, Action, or Vehicle) and press Play. Watch the central core react to the simulated metadata track. The intensity and frequency of the visual pulses represent the exact voltage that would be sent to the vibration motors on a supported device.

Hardware Requirement

Desktop browsers support physical vibration via the Gamepad API. Connect an Xbox, PlayStation, or generic controller via USB or Bluetooth to feel the physical vibrations.

The Science of Haptic Sync

What are Haptics? Haptic technology creates an experience of touch by applying forces, vibrations, or motions to the user. Standard media playback relies solely on sight and sound.

Tetrium Haptic Cinema™ bridges this gap. The engine dynamically analyzes low-frequency effects (LFE)—like the deep rumble of an explosion or the thud of a heartbeat—and generates perfectly synchronized metadata in real-time.

This metadata is then sent to the linear resonant actuators (LRAs) in your smartphone or the rumble motors in a connected controller, allowing you to feel the movie exactly as the sound designer intended. Plug in a controller now to experience it!
